It's 6:51 p.m. I'm still at work... we're waiting for another department to finish their work so we can have the database to promote an emergency code change tonite. It's not too terrible. This time I knew it was coming well in advance, I've got DJ Tiesto here keeping me in a happy place aurally and the dev pit is quiet and calm. So, I'm actually kinda cool with it all.
I've had a lot of revelations this past weekend. Through the magic of camcorder technology I got the chance to see a "not-so-sober-me" through "much-more-sober-me" eyes and what I saw really shook me up a bit. Not so much that I'm being condemning of anyone and what they want to do, etc. but enough to know what's right for me and what's not.
I also had the chance to spend time with some of the best people on the face of the planet. There was a little stress this weekend but nothing that a kandi-making session couldn't cure. It never ceases to amaze me how something as simple as that can bring me such peace of mind. I wish I had known about it a long time ago!
My pool cage has finally been re-screened (YAY!) and the cats are re-learning the wonders of the outside world (or at least as much of it as they are allowed to experience). There are still a few things to finish up with the house but at least I have a bug-free outdoor zone again. :)
So much going on in the next few weeks. A trip to Tennessee, The Fantastic Four!!!, a party or two, a friend going through surgery, a wedding being planned, a wedding being performed, me perfoming at the aforementioned wedding, and that's all I can remember at the moment... I'm sure there's more and will be even more soon. It's not hard to see where the time goes and yet we sit back and wonder where it all went anyway.
Bookended with all that's happened recently and everything that's coming up, today is ... just an ordinary day. Nothing spectacular, life-changing, mood-altering or otherwise occurring. But right now, it's just what I need. :)
Here you'll find tales of my journeys through life. Regardless of what they mean to me or anyone else, the facts remain that they occurred and they are hereby recorded for anyone bored enough to read through it. I am a post-operative male-to-female transsexual, a software developer, a musician, a geek of the highest order... but more basic that that... just another lonely, confused human on this planet... and these are my stories.

One Awesome Night
Went to Bass Wednesday last night... OMG... I paid for it today but it was absolutely worth it! Brad Smith was spinning and I had never heard any of his stuff. Twink has totally raved about him and so I was hyped. And he was WORTH the hype! I was completely blown away!
No drama... no BS... no problems... just good friends out having a blast. As the night went on we were being treated like superstars! Met Brad, Met DJ Jeff Retro (bought us shots, gave us CDs... very good stuff, too), met a porn star (LOL), and just danced and grooved and had a mutha effin' blast!
Might have to make Bass Wednesday a regular thing... it was too cool and a great way to break up the monotony of the work week. If you're going, just look for the woman with the cow on her back. ;)
